Irish Emily (Irish Open XX/Northfields XX)

A huge thank you to our friends, Lane and Tom Hutchins, for leasing us their beautiful mare, Emily. Emily is a 16.1 hand dark bay Thoroughbred mare with a giant, sweeping trot. Emily has some of the best old bloodlines in Thoroughbred breeding, including her great-grandsires, Northern Dancer and Buckpasser. Her five generation pedigree includes War Admiral and Bold Ruler! Emily was inspected by the Oldenburg NA in October and was entered into the Main Mare Book with the outstanding score of 101 points (only 4 points from being Premium!).
Emily is confirmed in foal to the Hanoverian jumper stallion, Freedom Z, for a 2010 foal (see photos of Freedom Z below).

Freedom Z is standing at Acorn Hill Farm. Freedom Z is a German-bred Hanoverian stallion of the famous Furioso II line. He was licensed in 1989 and approved in 1990 at the stallion testing in Adelheidsdorf. Freedom Z received an impressive 122.50 in rideability and 105.17 in jumping. His overall score was 118.62. In Germany, Freedom Z was ridden in dressage exhibitions and started competing at Intermediate level shows. In the US, Freedom Z has gone Grand Prix and placed in numerous Grand Prix jumping competitions between 1998 and 2003. Several Freedom Z sons are standing as approved stallions in Europe, with impressive scores at their performance tests. Freedom's foals are described as being powerhouse movers and jumpers, who are super uphill and well-balanced with strong hind ends and huge open shoulders. They are performing well on the "A" Hunter circuits in Florida and along the East coast. If this foal is a colt, it will be offered for sale to a performance home.
